Romancecar Museum

Recently I cannot visit oversea cities because of COVID-19 so I visit some places in Japan with my family. I went the Romancecar Museum which is located in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture so I am going to report the experience there.

The museum is located in front of Ebina Station where we can get by Odakyu Line, Sotetsu Line and JR line. We can get there also by car and park at the shopping center called “LaLaPort Ebina.” Some Romancecars which are express trains of Odakyu Line and run between Shinjuku, Tokyo and Hakone, Kanagawa. Because of prevention of COVID-19 we have to reserve before visiting.

Front of the museum

My family visited there around 4:15 pm on Aug. 8th, 2021. We did not realize the front of the museum so we looked for if. After entering the museum, we bought tickets. It costs 900 JPY per adult. Firstly, we can see the retired train after going down by escalator. Then, we can see Romancecars. We can go inside of some of the Romancecars. My son was very excited to see the trains and to go inside of the cars.

Displayed Romancecars

In the last area of the museum, we can see the diorama. It describes the towns along the Odakyu Line. The cityscape along the Odakyu Line is preproduced. We can see the state that the Romancecars run from Shinjuku to Hakone.
