Do you know American Chinese restaurants? In the US, you can see many Chinese restaurants anywhere and most of them serve American Chinese dishes. I often went to a Chinese restaurant during staying in the US, and had American Chinese dishes. They are different from one in Japan.
One of popular American Chinese Restaurants is “Panda Express.” I saw the restaurants of Panda Express in California and Hawaii. In 2016, a restaurant of Panda Express was opened in Japan. Currently, Panda Express has restaurants in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture and so on.
How to order menu in Panda Express is choosing dishes from a show case. A major menu is “plate.” As “plate”, you can chose 1 main dish and 2 entrees. You can chose fried noodle, fried rice, white rice or brown rice as main dish. A popular entree of the restaurant is “orange chicken.” That is deep fried chicken covered with honey sauce.
The taste of the dishes is sweeter than one of dishes we can have in another restaurant in Japan. The quantity is less than that of a restaurant in the US but the taste is same as that in the US.
